Insight Apprenticeship Program

Insight Direct (UK) Ltd launched its Apprentice Program in August 2008.  We currently have 7 Apprentices who are benefiting from the flagship scheme.

Insight offers two unique and innovative ways to learning. Firstly via Rotation, where the apprentice will rotate around three areas of the business on a 30 month programme or specialist, where the apprentice works in one area for a full 30 months.  With both routes, each programme is tailored to the individual.

Under the rotation scheme, apprentices can spend 10 months in Human Resources where they cover all the business disciplines including, recruitment, HR admin and training; IT where they work with the team to implement internal IT systems and E-Marketing which sees apprentices have direct client interaction through online communications. The specialist route is designed for individuals who display a keen interest and skill set in one particular area, for example web design.

Each apprentice is assigned an individual mentor designed to help the apprentices fit in. They act as a coach and help with development and company welfare.  Whilst on placement within a business discipline, apprentices have the same line manager throughout the 10 months who manages the person on a daily bases and sets tasks and goals.

Insight work closely with a local training provider, The Source, who are responsible for supporting the delivery of Level 2 and 3 Business Administration NVQ qualifications to  the Apprentices.
